Who needs NEBOSH IGC?

Managers, supervisors and employees from all sorts of organisations UN agency want a broad understanding of Occupational Health and Safety. The certificate helps them manage risks effectively. Many of us take the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a primary step during a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable summary, and could be a sound basis for additional skilled study.

Use of NEBOSH IGC:

Holders of the National General Certificate entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the establishment of activity Safety and Health (IOSH). The qualification additionally meets the educational needs for Technician Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH and Associate Membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

The risks for occupational accidents and diseases at work have to be managed by the employers and workers who are facing with them. Examinations:

The examination comprises two 2-hour written papers and a practical assessment. Each written paper consists of one ‘long-answer’ question and ten ‘short-answer’ questions. All questions are compulsory. The practical assessment consists of carrying out a risk assessment of a workplace and preparing a short report.
